Are Vans Shoes Gay ? Are they in style?

Last time I thought about Vans was 16 years ago, when Nikki Sixx won an embarrassing two-year million-dollar lawsuit against them for image theft. They weren't really happening kicks even back then (and neither was Motley Crue).

[quote] Sixx said he had no selection but to sue, and not just for his own image. "Mostly you find that people just let it go," Sixx said. "With me and the guys in Motley Crue, we've been standing up for our rights and hopefully we're standing up for other people's rights too."

[quote] Sixx sued a skateboarding magazine and the Vans shoe company for allegedly using his image in an ad without his permission. Sixx, whose actual name is Franklin Feranna, said in the lawsuit filed Tuesday that the defendants used photographs of him with pro skater Tony Trujillo at a San Francisco ceremony organized by Thrasher magazine and sponsored by Vans. Sixx said he agreed to present Trujillo with a "Skater of the Year" award at the ceremony on Dec. 7, , because he knew Trujillo was a Motley Crue fan. The musician said he was surprise

Crossing continents with support for the LGBT+ community, fashion brand Vans has launched a modern shoe collection in tribute to Pride Month. They accompanied the release with a donation of $, USD to four organisations fighting for LGBT+ rights across the Americas, Europe and Asia-Pacific region.

To give tangible support to the LGBT+ community, the organization will share their donation between LGBT+ organisations foremost education, awareness building and essential support for homosexual communities. Its brightly coloured rainbow shoe collection promotes LGBT+ culture further, reinterpreting Vans’s recognisable shapes: the Classic Slip-On, Era, Sk8-Mid and UltraRange designs.

“When I was younger, I was so scared to merge my queer life and my skate life, and to see the two crashing into each other in such a lovely and organic way is cool,” said skateboarder and campaign photographer, Samuel McGuire who grew up skating in Vans. “To serve with a brand that is involved in the queer community and that was so influential in
