Both Ibiza and Formentera have many nudist beaches where an all-over body tan is easily achieved. That and the freedom of being clothes-free, swimming and feeling the sea touch your entire body is the ultimate in liberation. Try it once and you'll never go back to clothed bathing.
Here are some of our favourite nudist spots for you to try out.
Es Cavallet
South Ibiza
Close to Playa d'en Bossa, Es Cavallet, an official nudist beach, is very popular with those who love to bare all. Its waters are beautifully transparent and snorkelling is a dream as it's all rocky and teeming with marine life.
This beach is half gay and half straight. From the wagon park, you'll be in the "hetero" part of the beach, where there are two beach restaurants. Continuing on down, after turning right, will take you directly to the gay part with a gay chiringuito at the end.

In summer Ibiza is THE international meeting place, regardless of sexual orientation. From May to September the young and juvenile at heart party here. In any case a colourful mix. Of course gays are very much integrated. The gay scene itself is particularly centred round the picturesque capital, especially in the old town and Figueretes. Here everything is within walking distance. Begin the night with a stroll around the almost totally gay Calle de la Mare Deu (C/. de la Virgen), take a seat on the mixed terraces at the foot of the city walls, and move on to one of the mega-discos (which often have either gay bar or have specific lgbtq+ events going on) or you can go up to the old town (Dalt Vila) for a dance or cruise around the bars. Thereafter cruising is possible at the cliffs with the Figueretes beach below. During the daytime the awesome beach of Es Cavallet beckons, with cruising in the bushes behind the superb beach.
