Prince William Would Be ‘Absolutely Fine’ With His Children Being Gay

 

Prince William has said he would “fully support” his children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis if they told him they were gay.

Speaking at The Albert Kennedy Trust, an LGBT youth charity in London, the Duke of Cambridge was asked by a man in the audience “If your child one day in the future said: ‘Oh I’m gay, oh I’m lesbian,’ whatever, how would you react?”

William responded he would be “absolutely fine” with it, but feared others would not.

“I reflect you don’t really start thinking about that until you are a parent, and I contemplate – obviously, absolutely fine by me.”

“The one thing I’d be worried about is how, particularly the roles my children occupy, how that is going to be interpreted and seen. So Catherine and I have been doing a lot of talking about it to make sure they were prepared.”

Prince William has become the first member of the Royal Family to be photographed for the cover of a gay magazine.

The Duke invited Attitude to bring members of the LGBT+ community to&#;Kensington Palace last month.

He wanted to hear their experiences of bullying, and the change it can acquire on mental health.&#;

William revealed he would be appearing in Attitude after he and Kate signed a book of condolence for the victims of the Florida night club attack.&#;

He told the magazine: "No one should be bullied for their sexuality or any other reason and no one should have to put up with the kind of hate that these young people include endured in their lives.&#;
