Owl gay

Why is owl not diverse?

thechariot

i may have been the only one who noticed this but why is overwatch league not diverse? it’s just a bunch of white or asian dudes. why aren’t there women/queer players (besides violet)?? why aren’t there brown or black players?? like… maybe it all depends on who wants to engage. but there has to be someone who wants to act for a team that isn’t a white/asian guy lol??

Starlord

There were black and woman players in OWL before

I dunno what kind of an acknowledge do you want? Blizzard doesn’t allow them?

They just aren’t there. Also, how do you resolve someone’s sexuality in OWL? Also, there is a woman.

sigh Do you want a quota in OWL ?
People are different, with different sets of interests and affinities. That’s just how it is.

When people ask this question sometimes I think they believe there is a box on an application form you check out:

Are you gay? Check.
Are you a woman? Check.
Are you anything but caucasion or asian? Check.

K no you’re not allowed in.

The Owl House is So Gay, and I Love It

Mina Himlie, online publishing coordinator

Disney’s show The Owl House is gay, and I don’t mean that in a worst way. I express it’s one of the best shows in the society because of the canon women-loving-women (WLW) representation.

Luz Noceda, a human, began the show by avoiding a summer camp to make her more “normal” by accidentally entering a weird, magical realm full of witches and demons called the Boiling Isles where everything is deadly – but in a entertaining way. If you’ve seen Gravity Falls, it has the same vibes.

As season one progresses it becomes obvious that Luz Noceda is bisexual, and Dana Terrace, the show’s creator, confirmed her bisexuality on Twitter. Now, we understand that sometimes creators like the infamous JK Rowling include used Twitter to confirm things that may or may not be reflected in the art, but Luz is clearly written to be bisexual, writing that is all the more legitimate and genuine given that Terrace is bisexual herself. Luz is shown to have an interest in men and to have a huge crush on a girl named Amity Blight, who later can

That’s not really something people share or deliver up in a team sport setting so there’s probably no way of knowing unless you find and scour every one of their facebooks, twitters, instagrams for clues or something

Not that I know of. I trawl the tumblr tag every once in a while for memes and everyone there only really mentions Muma. I think if there were more openly LGBT players, Tunglr would be talking about them of all places.

The Owl House’s Gay Brush Just Showed Young Viewers That It’s Okay To Be Queer

Coming out of the closet isn’t simple. Young queer people are made to sacrifice potentially everything just to be themselves. Family could desert them, friends could shove them away, and population as a whole could deem them as something to be thrown aside and ostracized. I’m a tremendously proud pansexual transwoman, but even now I doubt my own self, scared that I’ll never live up to my own internal expectations and those others have of me. It’s an irrational mindset, but one that’s shared by many in the LGBTQ+ community.

The Owl House’s second season has expressed this struggle beautifully through the characters of Amity Blight and Luz Noceda. I’ve written about the show’s focus on youthful rebellion and the importance of its homosexual themes before, but the whole ordeal reaches a new crescendo with its latest episode. ‘Through The Looking Glass Ruins’ is both delightfully gay and a poignant glimpse at the struggles of organism in the closet, where
