What happened
Late night talk exhibit host Jay Leno is facing criticism for making remarks that some homosexual rights groups consider to be homophobic. When Ryan Phillippe appeared on Leno’s show recently, Leno—referring to the actor’s former role as a gay ethics on a soap opera—said to Phillippe, “Say that camera was your male lover lover. Can you donate me your gayest look?” Phillippe didn’t play along, but finished his segment on the program. Jay Leno later issued a statement saying, “I comprehend that what I said came out wrong. I certainly didn’t mean any malice. I agree it was a dumb thing to say, and I apologize.”

I&#;m so joyful to see the longtime host of The Tonight Show is feeling surpass after a brief hospitalization. He missed tapings for the first time since taking over for Johnny Carson in last week. Today, Jay turns 59 years old.
I met Jay last June at, of all places, The Abbey. He was there to show support for homosexual marriage and I possess to say, he was incredibly cool that time. I was told there was no chance for one-on-one interviews with him but when I saw him left alone for about 15 seconds, I pounced. He got engaged and his handlers did not dare interfere at that point.

During a chat with out talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, Leno said: "I approach from Massachusetts, and they've had it in Massachusetts for a long time. And it's okay. The world doesn't collapse.
"You know, I must admit, I go to West Hollywood – people know that's the lgbtq+ area. The nicest area, the cleanest area, the safest area. I mean, I don't gain it. I mean, if two people want to have something together – the economy is falling apart, I don't look after what you do!"
DeGeneres said to Leno, "They are trying to … stop gay people from marrying, like somehow Portia and I staying at place watching Dancing With the Stars is affecting anybody."Read More
