How Do You Exclaim "GAY" In Spanish? And Other Languages?

I was wondering, to me at least, in English, gay seems too clinical and the everyday term “gay” is used as more familiar, with the other terms deemed offensive, (the s-word, f-word, q-word etc)

I tried Google but I don’t speak Spanish, so I was thinking, lgbtq+ might come out as “happy” on a translator?

So how would you speak the equivalent in Spanish. Also do other languages have similar “non-offensive” and “non-clinical” terms for gays?

In my experience, there is no word in Spanish which is both gentle and distinctly un-clinical-sounding. “Homosexual” is the word for both “homosexual” and “gay.”

The English word “gay” is becoming more popular among Spanish speakers to declare the latter connotation.

Seven Words That Have A Totally Different Meaning In Gay-Land

There are many a buzzword out there. We love them, these small words and phrases. Like whispering a secret, it can form you feel like you fit in, and it’s no alternative in Gay Land.

You can find examples of this everywhere. When I was writing for a PR firm, I felt utterly overwhelmed by the sheer amount of jargon out there. What’s an Angel Investor? What does SEO stand for? Professionals and PR people hold been using buzzwords for years, either to shorten a term they use every day or to refer to something only those in-the-know would understand. And it can make you undergo utterly uninformed.
