Who We Are

The South African LGBT+ Management Forum, or "The Forum" for short, works with companies across South Africa to create safe and equitable workplaces that enable woman loving woman, gay, bisexual, trans (LGBT+) professionals to contribute to their fullest potential. Our primary work involves running the flagship South African Workplace Equality Index (SAWEI) and developing free resouces for those productive in workplace diversity. We are a section 18a non-profit corporation registered with the CIPC in South Africa.

Our mission is to create a safe and equitable workplace for all regardless of sexual orientation, gender culture or expression by educating, supporting, leading, networking and celebrating.

We pay the majority of our waking day at work therefore it is imperative that every employee, regardless of their otherness, should be treated equally as well as enjoy equal opportunities.  In order for this to happen,  LGBT+ diversity and inclusion standards need to be position and greater accountab

Je reviens sur ce que disais almaarea : non, l'homosexualité n'existe pas depuis l'antiquité ! L'homosexualité est une notion moderne. Les rapport entre hommes, sexuels ou amoureux, n'avaient pas du tout la même signification qu'aujourd'hui, et flow reprendre l'exemple lassant de l'Antiquité grecque et romaine, les rapports sexuels n'avaient rien à faire du sexe des partenaires. ce qui important, c'était le rang social des pédérastie en Grèce avait ainsi un rôle social, c'était un rite de corridor, de même que les relations entre éphèbe (jeune de 18 à 20 ans en service militaire), ou d'un éphèbe avec homme plus âgé. Entre soldat, la relation est également celle de mentor/disciple, de soutien sans une fois le jeune devenu officiellement citoyen, une relation suivie avec un autre homme (qui n'est pas un "jeune") n'est pas reconnu (voir le scandale de la "liaison" Socrate/Alcibiade), même si ça aux esclaves, on peut faire ce qu'on veut avec.A Rome, c'est plus straightforward : on fait ce qu'on veut, à chacun de gérer les rumeurs comme il l'entend!Mais notr


InterBank, a Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual and Transgender (LGBT+) Forum was formed in and is a collection of LGBT+ networks from financial services firms.

InterBank aims to:

  • Create a fully inclusive forum for LGBT+ employees from financial services firms in which to meet and discuss issues impacting LGBT+ employees in their day-to-day work environment.
  • Enable the sharing of best practices between the LGBT+ employee network groups of financial services firms
  • Provide a forum for developing an appropriate collective response to LGBT+ issues that benefit financial services firms and reflects positively on the financial Services industry’s commitment to the LGBT+ community
  • Promote and motivate networking opportunities for LGBT+ employees of financial services firms
